So confused - Implantation bleeding or odd cycle?

Background - I ovulate a little late so I'm always a bit anxious about when i'm starting. I always HOPE there is a good 2 week from my positive LH surge. I also take baby aspirin because I've had a blood clot.
My cycle in January was typical starting on 1/16. The baby dance was on 1/31 and 2/3 with positive LH 2/4. Then on 2/14 I started. Catch is it started heavy and more mucous that typical. Was heavy for 2 days (bright red ) and then brown spotting for 2 days. I am typically a 4-6 full day gal. I also didn't have ANY of my normal PMS symptoms. No cramps, food cravings, exhaustion, etc. So here I am "day 12" on this new cycle. I did take a test a few days after I stopped spotting BFN. At this point I don't know if my "symptoms" are in my head or real.
