I wouldnt worry, he never shouldve bothered with an abdominal that early, esp with an old machine *smh*. Easier said than done, but try to stay calm until u have another scan...no sense in worrying about something that *could* be wrong, based on results from an abdo u/s from another era. When can u have another scan?

thanks dakotagurl.. I actually just called an on call obgyn at my doctors office & he called me back a few mins later. I explained the whole situation & he told me to call the office back n 20 mins (when they open) & tell them I talked 2 dr riley & that he wants me 2 have an ultrasound. I feel much better now. he was really nice! he said everything is probably fine & that the machines they use at emergency rooms are sometimes crappy & that when I come n for my ultrasound it will be a much better machine & I will be able 2 see my baby well. I should've done this sooner but i figured everything was fine.. but after thinking something may be wrong for like 2 weeks u start 2 get more & more worried. very thankful 4 dr riley.

No need to worry :-) i had scans at 6,7 and 8 weeks due to a SCH... the first two were really nice machines. at 7 weeks i could see little arm/leg buds clearly. but my 8week ultraound looked like a blob lol. Also my girls HB at 6weeks was only 113. The doc told me that's fine because the heart just starys beating around 6 weeks

At my 6 week ultrasound baby looked like a little kidney bean and I could see the difference between the head and tail and at 7 weeks I couldn't make out anything, it just looked like a blob! Both of those were vaginal scans too. I wasn't able to see nice definition between all the body parts at my 12 week scan which was abdominal. Don't worry those small portable u/s machines are not that great!
