Need advice....anyone's opinion please!
Today I found out my fourth IUI has failed. I have a 15 month old via IUI, but my husband is steril, we are using donor sperm. We only have 2 vials left of it, we are going down the IVF path now. My center have a money back guarantee package that promises a baby or your money back, but it is $28,000. They have a smaller package which is much more affordable and it is one retreivel for$8,000. I feel like I can obviously have kids, I have proof do I really need to spend the 28,000? Or is it to risky to only spend the 8,000?

memberThat is a tough one. Depends on so many factors. Look at it like this - if you have a baby, you are out the 28k. Totally worth it of course. If you are successful on the 8k plan, even better! The way my mind would think about it is that do I want to possibly pay 8,000 to not be successful? Is the chance worth it? Hopefully whichever one you pick works!!!

Have you had your ovarian reserve levels tested? If you are young and have good reserves and your doctor thinks you would be a good responder, I would go with the $8000 package. Hopefully you would be able to produce a good number of eggs and possibly have some to freeze in case the first transfer doesn't work. Transfers are cheaper than the retrievals so if there were some frozen you wouldn't have to do the whole retrieval again. If your numbers were low and your doctor thought you wouldn't get much, you might consider the larger package. Best of luck!

8x3=24, so you have 3 chances at $8k before the $28k plan pays for itself. I'd go with the $8k package unless you have a health factor that makes conception less possible for you. It is possible you have a problem, too, if your 5th IUI has failed. We're those IUIs with FSH and HCG trigger? If you used FSH, hiw did you respond? Best wishes!
