I miscarried my first pregnancy at 6 weeks and we didn't wait. I was older and didn't want to risk not being able to get pregnant. However i have heard most people wait for at least their period to show up. We got pregnant the month after the miscarriage and had a healthy baby boy. I think it's a personal decision and if your doctor strongly recommends It.

I would check with your doctor to be sure. My doctor said to me that you can start trying again (whenever you are ready) after your hcg reaches 0. It also really depends how far along you were and if your lining needs to thin out in your uterus before trying again.

I think it just depends on your Doctor and, like DanaG933 said, how far along you were (I was 9 weeks but with a blighted ovum). Mine told me to wait and TTC after two periods. I've heard some say starting immediately is OK as well. I think some say to wait as it is easier to track how far along you are when you do become pregnant again. Me personally, I'm going to go by what my Doctor said but after just getting over my first period after my D&C on 1/20/15, I'm really trying hard not to try this month, lol. Good luck to you!

My doctor told us to wait two cycles but said we can really start at anyte we are ready. So we have started right away. I have just decided I won't be disappointed if it doesn't happen quickly. I am ok with having a period or two. Hopefully no more than that though.
