Question

RE said my progesterone was low, is it healthy!

He says my levels were 5. Something. Don't they consider this an abnormal pregnancy? I'm six weeks. No spotting, no big reasons. He ordered me gel today.

It just means your ovaries aren't producing enough. There is nothing wrong with the baby. They like to see levels at 20 I think. You'll only need to supplement till ten or twelve weeks and then the babies placenta should take over.

Like Twillems said, it just means that you aren't producing enough. If it isn't caught and levels stay low, it will cause a miscarriage, so it is GREAT that your RE caught it so early! The gel will supplement the Progesterone that your body is missing and will keep the baby healthy.
They will likely check your levels every so often to make sure they are high enough, and then will wean you off of it at around 12 weeks when the placenta takes over.
Congratulations and good luck!!
