Certainly sounds like you might be. My Dr has me test when I am 7 days late because he said some ladies just don't show early. With that many symptoms I would do the 2nd test

Thanks for your response opalfoxy, the waiting game is absolutely killing me ! I am due to fly over seas this weekend and want to know before I go visit my family as that would be a story to tell upon arrival. I will retest this Friday with a digital, if still neg, and no AF il wait till 3 weeks late and hopefully AF will not show.

Babybrain84 what makes you think that ? Sorry I'm just looking for some kind of indication as to what might be delaying my period so much. I also need to point out I have unprotected sex almost ever day following the last day of my LMP so the 11/1 up till the light bleeding I had on the 21/1

Don't mind baby brain, she can be blunt. I'm open to the possibility. Or maybe you didn't actually ovulate this time round. I hope for you it's a sneaky baby! If your period still fails to show you may want to go back to the doc to see if they can do another set of bloods or even a scan. If you're not preggas maybe they can restart your cycle so you can go back to trying for a happy accident lol! :)

Yes I considered not ovulating as being one of the options, but still can't work out what the random inbetween cycle light bleeding was and why . All very odd, I would be very happy to have a little accident haha :)
I'd love to get a BFP on hpt, so going to keep my spirits up but not get too hopeful.

I don't think babybrain84 is being blunt I think shes being honest... its rare 2 not show up on a test especially a blood test when u r that late. I doubt u r pregnant.

Yes, I had thought that too, but I got a call from a nurse not long after I got my blood results to say I may have tested too early, and that it could possibly be an inaccurate result, my sister didn't find out she was pregnant till she was 5weeks late ! And my mother has just had twins and she was almost 6 weeks late without a positive.
So it may be a running trend in my family, but I am not very hopeful. However fingers crossed.

Update: starting getting pinkish brown discharge this morning and light spotting, going to monitor it, could be start of AF,so hopefully I get some closure on this late period business.

Bleeding today with very large clots and pain- suspected early miscarriage.
Hope my question has helped anyone in the same situation. Baby dust to all.. Not my time yet :(
