HCG levels increasing fast, has this happened to anyone else? Possible twins?
This pregnancy happened while on the mini-pill so we are not sure how far along we are. We had a MC 2 1/2 months ago and were waiting 3 months to try again when we found out we were pregnant (my breasts had been really sore and I felt "off"). My first HCG level was 13 (low but dr thinks its bc it was so early). 2nd HCG level was 57, less that 48 hours later (so more than quadrupled in less than 2 days, doubling about every 19 hours) and our 3rd HCG level was 1195 about 5 1/2 days after the last one (so doubling every 30hrs or so). Is this normal? I know normal is very varied but the dr mentioned it could be multiples since it's increasing at such a high rate, but we wont know until we can do an ultrasound. Has this happened to anyone else and only been a singleton? This would be our third (and final) child so twins would definitely be a surprise.
