How long will it take to get back to normal after chemical pregnancy?
I am 9 days late for my period. Had a positive hpt on Sunday (4 days late). Then everything went negative. I had an appointment with my gyn this morning to figure out what was going on. She confirmed that I had a chemical pregnancy. She told me I should get my period soon and if I didn't get it in two weeks to call her and she would prescribe something to make it start. I am ttc my first child. This would have been my first pregnancy. I have absolutely no experience with this and am totally heartbroken.
Does anyone have any experience with this? How long will it take to get my period and then get back to a normal cycle? How long does it take to get pregnant after a chemical pregnancy? Sorry for so many questions, I am clueless.

I just had a chemical pregnancy- it was my first pregnancy as well. I know exactly what you are going through. I was sad, hurt, angry, so much. It made me very upset that it took me about a week for my body (which had started to change to accommodate a pregnancy) to go back to normal after I started bleeding. After my hcg was at 0, I started to cramp very badly and then I had bleeding that was similar to a period, but much darker. I actually didn't have much clotting at all because it was an early pregnancy. After a week or so, my bbt went back to normal, and my breasts stopped hurting and my nipple color/size went back to normal. My doctor told me it was okay for me to TTC this month because it was so early, my hcg never got very high, and my lining should be fine. I am using OPKs and BBT to monitor my ovulation because my doctor said it could be very early or very late after the CP. I hope this is helpful, you can message me if you need to talk/vent!
