Question

Am I having a miscarriage already?

I just found out today that I am pregnant. My AF is not supposed to come until Feb 1st. For the past 24 hours though I have been feeling similar cramps to my period.
I am worried that since my period date hasn't started yet that I am either going to start my period or that I'm having a miscarriage.

Has anyone had period cramps around the time of their period, but had a BFP test result?

Cramping is normal it is hormone related. It was my only symptom when I first found out I was pregnant with my daughter. Congrats ;)

Totally normal :) I had cramping and thought I was out, but we got our BFP! I found out that once the body detects hCG, your uterus starts stretching immediately to accommodate your future baby. The stretching feels almost identical to AF type cramping.

However, look out for bright red bleeding or cramping localized to one side. These can signal much bigger problems and you'll want to contact your doctor ASAP.

Good luck and congratulations! Enjoy your pregnancy!
