Why does it take longer for some to test positive than others?
I have noticed several women who test around 8 or 10 DPO, and they get a BFP, yet some other women will test and keep testing until they are 10 or more days LATE before their BFP shows up. Why do some women's positives show up earlier in the cycle than others? Could this be any indication of the pregnancy being "weaker" or more susceptible to a MC?? Just curious.... BTW, I am CD 35, almost a week late, and I got a BFN yesterday afternoon.

My one friend was 5 days late and tested, and she got a BFN. She waited 6 more days (11 days late), tested again and got a fain line. She went to the doc's, and they gave her a urine test which said negative. A bit later she was having pains, so she went back to the doc's where they did a blood test and found she was indeed pregnant. She's 6 months along.

A lot of the time, these women dont know their O date so dont realize it can be later (leading them to believe they are "late" even when they technically arent). Then theres an egg that doesnt implant til 12-13dpo with slow rising hCG. Test sensitivity, duration of urine hold, fluid intake and overall kidney function affect results as well! Its not really an indication of anything, early BFP's end in mc as well. Its just the way that persons body works...its different for each woman and each pregnancy.
