Just posting to let you know I'm in your shoes. First pregnancy and had a D&C 1/20/15 after medication failed to remove all of the product. This was after I found out I had a blighted ovum as well. Sorry for your loss. I've heard so many mixed information on this topic from when the doctors say you can try again to how long it can take to get pregnant. Sorry I'm not much help but wanted to say sorry for your loss. Did you doctor give you any reason as to why you could try again so soon as my doctor said wait 2 cycles?

I didn't need to have a d&c after my miscarriage, but I had a similar problem. Even though my hcg was back to 0, I still had breast pain, nipple color changes, and my BBT was high. My doctor said those are more due to the progesterone and not hcg, which can still take awhile to get out of your system. I am still waiting to ovulate after my miscarriage, so I know I'm not pregnant again. I do know people who have gotten pregnant as soon as two weeks after miscarriage, but others that take months to get pregnant again. Hope this helps!

Thank you. I really thought I was going to be okay but I've been feeling so down, I guess because we were so happy. Trying to stay positive. Sorry for both of your losses. My OB Doctor told me that there has been no medical proven statistics that indicate that getting pregnant immediately following a miscarriage will cause any issues. My family dr told me to wait one cycle it was just for my mental health. We started TTC 7 days after D N C. Hoping to get pregnant as soon as possible. Good luck to you both.

I had a D&C in April 2013, I ovulated 10 days after my first negative HPT and fell pregnant immediately with no period between, my perfectly healthy boy was born in January 2014.

Must be mad, just wondering since I didn't take tests to check everyday how long was it after DNC? My levels were 7000 at DNC. Just curious... I guess its different for everyone. I stopped bleeding and spotting less than a week after.

Just looked back at my diary, had D&C April 18th, HPT turned negative April 27th and ovulated May 6th, positive HPT May 13th. Xx

hello. I didn't have a d&c and I had a mc on the 6/1/2015 and now I am pregnant again as my dr told us we didn't have to wait as it was early. my levels went down pretty fast. So It can happen. We are very surprise, I am very sorry for your loss.

That's great news wintermom! You're very lucky. I got my period on Feb 13 it was really heavy. But I think I ovulated when my man was out of town. So Ill try again this month but I'm nervous bc I want it so bad and I don't want to miss it... I don't do ovulation tests. I hope it works!
