Ovulation spotting?

Yesterday AM my OPK, clinical guard brand, was neg. Yesterday evening about 8pm I had egg white cervical fluid. I woke up at 12am to mild cramps and sspotting, like my typical ovulation pains, however I haven't had spotting worth the pains and why was my OPK - if I'm clearly ovulating!?? I'll know for sure tomorrow, Im tracking my temp.
