Stomach bug/food poisoning in fertile window
Hello ladies I am looking for some reassurance. According to my calendar (and previous ovulation days) I am due to ovulate in 5 days time therefore my fertile window is saying hello right now. Yesterday and last night I was hit by either a really bad stomach ache or food poisoning. Thankfully wasn't sick but very bad the other end (so sorry if tmi) so my question is this... Can having a bad stomach bug or food poisoning with severe diarear effect my chances of conceiving this cycle? Any advice would be lovely. Thankyou

I have a friend who got pregnant when she had the flu, so I guess it's possible sometimes to conceive when you're not well. Never heard about stomach bug and getting pregnant specifically. I guess if you have a fever the high temperature could be damaging to sperm. Other than that I don't think being sick (either end ;-)) would affect fertility. But I'm no doctor.
