Question

Trying to conceive . PCOS

Hi guys
I had a chemical pregnancy in September .. Next month my period never came and they had to induce it ... From that time on I am taking some pills to control my pco and on day 21 to day 30 ( 10 days twice a day) I am taking progestrone so the basic idea was if I am to be pregnant progestrone will sustain the pregnancy otherwise my periods ll come after stopping the tablet. There's no luck for the past 2 months .. I have reduced my wt to a 12 kg .. And I am in diet .. But my doctors want me to proceed with IUI .. I am not interested in that.. I don know whether my periods will ever be normal.. And I excercise 5 days a week buring 800 calories a day .. Am I excercising too much or why is it not happening .. What am I doing wrong ? Waiting for ur reply ladies...

So I have a regular cycle, however my doctor just told me I have a luteal phase defect which could be preventing me from conceiving. I didn't want to take hormone supplements just yet so I did some research on my own and found an herbal supplement called Vitex. It is supposed to significantly improve cycle irregularity (including PCOS, luteal phase defects and/or even just PMS). Do some research on it. I just started using it about a week ago and although it says it takes some time to take effect, I would rather try that before going the hormone route. Best of luck!

I have PCOS my self and even though i lost 30kgs, eating healthy, etc i still did not become regular ( 1 period every 1 1/2 yrs). Its totally up to you what you want to do, but ive been TTC for 4 years and 6 yrs without protection. Ive been on metformin and clomid tablets for 6 rounds, recently had a Laproscopy, ovarian drilling, Fallopian tube cleaned and a D and C (not fun) and here i am today still not pregnant. Just about to start my next lot of clomid and if that doesnt work its IVF for me. I think that im closer then i was before not getting help though, because at least with each clomid cycle im finally ovulating, but just not conceiving :/. I guess what im trying to say is, you can do all the right things (lose weight, etc) and it still wont help PCOS. My gyno said that its obviously not my weight and life style contributing to my PCOS/lack of ovulation. Maybe you may be in a similar boat and need that extra push with further medical intervention. Wish you all the best!
