Vitex Success Stories for Luteal Phase Defect?
I recently visited my OBGYN and he confirmed I have a luteal phase defect. I'd like to try some natural remedies before jumping on the hormone train and researched Vitex. Has anyone had a shorter LP, tried Vitex and had success? Additionally, how long did it take to notice improvement in your cycle? Thanks!

I have taken Vitex and it did nothing for me. My Hubby and I have been trying to conceive for 15 months now with no luck. My LP phase is short too, so they put me on Femera, but this is the first month I have been on it. My progesterone levels are low and that is why my LP phase was short. Vitex gave me breakthrough bleeding and didn't help my cycle at all (I took it for about 3 months?) so my advice to you would be to talk to your doctor about it. My doctor was not thrilled with me when I went out and tried the "herbal natural" route before talking to her. Essentially it can mess your cycle up more than actually help it... Sorry for the news! :)

Oh my, that is definitely not the answer I was hoping for (haha) but I appreciate the input! You would think herbal supplements would be better than a prescription right?! I only have a few more months until we have hit the year mark of TTC, so I will give it a few months and then I may not have a choice but to go the medication route.
