Miscarriage isn't terribly common as long as long as you are healthy. I've had 2 successful pregnancies and no miscarriages. Look at genetics. If your mother didn't have any or only had maybe one but has multiple children then odds are good you won't miscarry. My grandma has had 7 children. Her third pregnancy she did miscarry but her Dr told her it was just a fluke. Miscarriage can be caused simply by an abnormal embryo and it's simply mother nature's way of weeding out the weak. Don't stress. Probability of a miscarriage is only around 15% in the first trimester. And those odds decrease even further after 12 weeks or by the second trimester. Start taking a prenatal if you haven't already been taking any. Chances are better that you won't miscarry than that you will. On this website you will see a lot of women talking about miscarriages or chemical pregnancies because it's a ttc forum. Once pregnant they are no longer ttc so you don't hear from them so much.

It's not that common. If you have lots of complications it's a little more likely. I know it's hard not to worry about everything bad that could happen but it's not worth stressing yourself out and that in turn puts major stress on your little bundle of joy. When I was pregnant with my DD I was happy and at first yes I thought of every bad thing in the world and it got me no where except stressed to the point of i wasn't feeling like eating and I was getting depressed I pulled myself together and from then on told myself I will do everything in my power to have a happy, healthy, safe pregnacy. Focus on the life you're growing within you. It's a miracle that's unfolding and if you are focused on the bad things you're going to miss out on the most amazing moments in your pregnacy. Positive thoughts your way!!

Don't take more than one prenatal a day! An over abundance of vitamins can be toxic to the baby. Vitamins like vitamin a isn't water soluble and your body will store extra and at high levels it's not good for you. Just stick to one prenatal a day, preferably one with dha(fish oil or flaxseed for omega 3s) and if your prenatal doesn't have any already you can buy some fish oil supplements so long as your Dr ok's taking them. They are good for baby's brain and eye development. And yours too!
