Should I be worried?

This has been a roller coaster so far! I have two beautiful daughters, healthy pregnancies, have never miscarried so far... My cycles have been very long. I have a polyp and cyst which cause spotting. My last period was on Nov 15 and we tried every second day up until decemeber 7 (day 23) and on Dec 14 I had pink spotting but it was followed by heavy flow which I thought was my period for 5 days. On dec 31 I tested positive said (2-3 weeks). I went to Dr worried since I bled they did my hcg on Jan 2 and Jan 5 went from 1600 to 3900. The same day I went for US and they saw a sac. I've been brown light spotting for over 7 days. Tomorrow I go for another US. Every calculator I used says I should be 7 weeks but that means I should have seen baby on Jan 5 since I would be 6 weeks. I'm so confused. I'm worried something is wrong. My dr said not to worry everything seems right. But the numbers don't make sense. And why did I have a full blown period and why am I still spotting?
