Did he say why he thought that? From what I understand a chemical pregnancy is very early on with faint positives and then your period would come. Was he an obgyn?

I had a faint positive 2 days before period was due and then every test after that is negative. I'm waiting on bloods. Just thought it would have come by now. Everything I've read says it will probably just be a couple of days late.

I am going tgrough q chemical now. My af was just 2 days late. I had faint positives that got a tad darker upto day af was due then they started to go light and i knew something was up. Last night i started heavily bleeding 2 days after af. Fingers crossed for you

The two that I had, I started bleeding the day I would have if I hadn't conceived. The only reason I even knew about them was because I had several faint BFPs. If you were having a chemical, you would be bleeding by now since a chemical occurs when something went wrong with implantation and your body expels it like a normal period.
