Question

Does your DH balk during O-time?

Ladies, I'm going to be honest--I am frustrated. To my gals out there who are actually TTC and understand the agony and anxiety of the TTW, I need your advice. I have been TTC for what is now my 5th cycle. I have gone through the life style changes, monitored my cycle with the OPK, gone through countless pregnancy tests, and have been faithfully logging my BBT every darn morning. And throughout this time, I have tried different ways of having my husband procreate with me during my O time. Well, each time he has an excuse (tired, full, gassy, not in the mood), and it's ALWAYS during the prime time. Now, I have tried not telling him the exact day, just the week, and then he's not ready the day of, and I get frustrated because we are not supposed to gab about how important and teeny the O window is. Anyone else at the end of their rope? What works for you with a stubborn and challenging partner?

I don't even mention the week I just seduce him few days leading up to ovulation, mine isn't the case he's not keen, he gets anxious and can't always finish so to speak, so if u take a relaxed view and bd 3 times a week u should be ok x

I told mine just the other day, he has 1 thing to do. I am the one getting blood test, taking clomid and peeing 3Ã? a day on opk. I let him know that the window is very short and that I can only take the clomid 3 to 6 months. That is 3 to 6 days we can try. So when I got a + told him get to bed and he went with a smile lol. It hard for us bc he works nights and sometimes days too. So I get that he is tired but after I explained it to him like that there was no hesitation. . Of course we have been trying for 6 years and this was the first month with clomid. Maybe try talking to him and letting him know how slim chances of getting pregnant every month. If he wants a baby he needs to be ready to do is 1 part. Good luck ;)

Thanks ladies, I have been trying not to have expectations around getting pregnant, but I do expect to do the bd when I know I'm about to O. It doesn't help that we have a lot of prework as women and rely on our men for something that comes so naturally (no pun intended) at all other times of their lives! Oy!

My husband is the same way. Originally I tried not to make it like a job and not tell him when I was ovulating, but I am way too sensitive and high strung to just back off if he says he's tired and I know this is one of my prime days. He has finally started to buckle down and do it now that we've been TTC for a year with no luck. This is my second month on clomid and I'm turning 33 next month and am determined to make 2015 our baby year.

DanaG933 I am 30, so I am right there with you sister. Not sure how long you and DH have been waiting to start a family, but now that my DH and I are ready, every 2 WW is like a year! lol

It probably doesn't help that our hormones are stronger, which can cause tears and really damper the sexy mood :-/

I am certain 2015 will be both of our baby year :) :) :) ~*~*~**
