Question

I'm a giant unpleasant ball of stress and worry...

This is the third question I've posted just tonight, I'm reading conflicting info trying to research on my own.

Ladies, help me.

I got a near positive yesterday afternoon. A definite positive this afternoon. Two equally dark lines. Tonight at 8 I got a test line that was darker than the control indicating my surge is still building or is peaking currently. I'm worried because dh won't be home for a few hours and we won't be able to do it till probably tomorrow morning.

Did I already ovulate or is my lh still building indicating that I haven't yet? I would think lh would fall soon after ovulation not continue to build, right?

Well, technically, if you already tried prior to ovulation, that is the goal. If you try at ovulation, it would typically be too late. If you've already tried and you're ovulating now, then you've done what you can for now. If you want to, you can try when you're able to as an insurance policy. You've got the benefit of already having had a child before, which is supposed to increase your odds.

You have a surge THEN 24 to 48 hours later you ovulate. The surge happens then the ovulating. You have plenty of time but I wouldn't wait till tomorrow if it can be helped.

You could still have time some people surge for 2 3 days you go by your last positive and you didn't say it has started to decrease so I would think that extra BD when he gets home could be worth it xx

Hopefully u get some bd'ing in soon. U go by ur FIRST positive opk (so, the afternoon one) and O is supposed to be 12-48hrs after. Dont worry about the length of the positive tests, that has no affect on when/if the egg will come out. U can have positives for days and O the same day as the first, or last, or not at all...just the same as u can also O w/o a positive. Dont hold too much stock in those tests, they are urine tests and the surge hits ur blood first!! Save urself the money and sanity and stop testing, they wont tell u any more than u already know at this point. My longest stretch of + OPK's was 8 days, I O'd with the first one!
Good luck! =))
