Wow you have an 18 day luteal phase?? That seems very long (typical is 12-14 days).. I would try charting to find out exactly when you ovulate. You may be ovulating much later than you think and you're actually not 18 dpo yet.

I got a positive opk on November 29th so I assume I ovulated between the 29th and 30th. Is that incorrect?

To determine when you'll start your period, it's best to go by how long your luteal phase typically is (between ovulation and period) rather than your normal cycle length because that can vary a lot. The luteal phase typically does not vary. You're right on calculating your dpo if you go by the positive opk, but for some women you can get a positive because your body gears up to ovulate, then it doesn't. I would try charting your temps for a month to determine exactly when you ovulate and how long your luteal phase is. It'll also help a lot with ttc.

You could potentially still be pregnant, do another test in a couple days to be sure!

Serenity_86 I was unusually nauseous last night and I just felt "off". I decided to take a test even though it wasn't first morning urine because I had read that some women get better results in the evening. I got a positive! AF was due yesterday as well and I wasn't feeling any signs of her showing up. Maybe I implanted late?

Yay! Congratulations!! You probably ovulated late and/or implanted late.. could have been both. Maybe you weren't actually 18 dpo, but more like 14 dpo. How dark was the test? Get to a doctor for a beta!

It was a faint positive. I took a digital as well and it said 1-2 weeks so you're probably right about the implantation because I definitely conceived the weekend of thanksgiving lol
