BBT rising after early, short, light period, negative hpt?

Why would my temperature rise after my "period" is over??

I was so sure that I was pregnant this month because I felt blah during the TWW and my boobs were sore/tender which is atypical for me.

But on 12 DPO my temperature dropped from 98.11 to 97.47 and I had some spotting later that afternoon. The next day my temp was 97.23 and I had minimal spotting again - the most blood I saw was when using the bathroom - it would be in the toilet. I wasn't able to temp the next day and again only saw blood in the toilet - the pad was clean.

Yesterday my temp went up to 97.42 and 0 spotting.
Today my temp went up to 97.70.
I would have expected my period to come today (16 dpo).

My coverline temperature is 96.80. So I've been well above coverline since ovulation.

What does this mean??? Why would my temperature rise?
