Question

Third pregnancy back-to-back. Reassurance, advice, experiences please!

Hi. I am currently 4 weeks along with my third pregnancy back to back. This first mc was at 6 weeks, but as it turns out, i had a mild UTI. My b-hcg result at 4 weeks was 64. The second was a super early mc at 4 weeks, with similar abdominal pains that I experienced with the previous one and didn't even have opportunity to go for blood test but had very very faint + hpts. This time around, I have a b-hcg of only 48, the numerous ic hpts I have been taking have not been getting noticeably darker (poas addict) but not having the same pains as last time. Mild intermittent nausea, breasts really sore up til today (over analyzing every symptom?). I am 36 and have a healthy 10 year old daughter. My pregnancy with her was uncomplicated - just severe morning sickness throughout. I know my chances are increased with the 2 previous mcs, but I am so worried I will lose this one too. Will be referred to obgyn for monitoring for this pg. Any words of wisdom ladies?

I had two miscarriages back to back and like you fell pregnant right away without a period in between. My third pregnancy was successful and I have had another bub since. I also had a healthy pregnancy with my first. My test lines were slow to darken with my pregnancy after the miscarriages as well but my gut feeling was everything would be ok and it was. It didn't stop me freaking out though! Hun, even if you don't go on to a healthy pregnancy this time you are not without hope. Up to three in a row can be within normal. I feel for you as I remember the desperation I had to fill the empty feeling I had after the miscarriages with another baby, it was brutal. Stay strong. The facts are that any woman who is determined to have a child will get one sooner or later. I wish nothing but the best for you. :)

I recommend taking low dose aspirin daily at the 81 mg strength. My dr who is a high risk specialist thinks highly of the aspirin as it has anti-inflammatory properties and has shown to be of benefit to women with a history of miscarriages. There is no downside to taking it, only a potential upside. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.
