Can I ovulate twice? Please help! Comments, suggestions.
Well her it goes.. I took ovulation test all the ay until CD17 got a positive OPK. Went back negative.. continued to test throughout the week..all negatives until CD29 got the strongest positive. got excited b/c 2WW was almost over and thought it was b/c i was pregnant. my HCG was - Im so confused. did i not ovulate on Cd17 and just o'd on the 29th.. then i would only be 1dpo.. even still we BD'D ALOT even if we may have got the egg but i just want to know if this happened to anyone else.

Its tough to say if u did or didnt O w/o u having temps or bloodwork done. U couldve O'd when ur opk hinted at it, and this positive is just a normal LP surge. They tend to happen in the middle and/or at the end of ur luteal phase. If u didnt release an egg, then this would be ur second attempt at O. If ur not temping, then its really hard for me to say what is causing this, but if ur at the end of ur cycle and hCG is negative, then I would assume this is the surge that precedes AF's arrival. Just a guess tho!!
To answer the title question, no, u cannot ovulate twice in one cycle. U CAN release more than one egg during ur ovulation, but it will happen within a 24hr period. After that, ur progesterone is high enough to stop further egg development/release.

Thank you ladies. Im on cd 31 now & no boob pain like with my past 12 cycles.. Im hoping for a baby for xmas. If i ovulated on cd 17 then I'm 14dpo and usually by this time there is some soar boobs cramping or something and for now nothing. This so odd. if i just od I'm 2dpo..and only a tight lower belly. Hoping and praying but Patiently waiting..
