Threatened miscarriage am I still pregnant?
I have irregular cycles and gave up in trying for a month. Mainly due to a cold and started a new job. I started having weird abdominal pain. Spotting went on a week later on DAT of expected AF. Light for two weeks. Went to ER. Found out I'm pregnant. Hcg level 559 on thursday. Classified as threatened miscarriage due to spotting. Weekly Hpt said 2-3 weeks that Saturday. Blood work showed drop to 350 hcg. Hpt said same 2-3 weeks. Spotting continued and got heavier Wednesday and today. Still no where near normal AF. No large clots or tissue. No pain and pregnancy symptoms. Hpt still shows strong positive on digital and plus. Going in for blood hcg this Saturday. Should I be hopeful?

Bleeding has almost completely stopped. Thanks for your kind words. Twins run in both of our families so I'm just hoping that maybe one passed and one stayed. Its called a vanishing twin. We will see. I just don't think my levels would be this high after 3 weeks of spotting and if they dropped so much in just 24 hours I would think I would be testing negative.

When I was 7 weeks pregnant I also had spotting and was told its a threatened miscarriage. At 9 weeks I had spotting again and was put on bed rest for 2 weeks. My daughter is soon going to be 5 yrs old. I'm not really sure or understood why the bleeding was happening and I don't think the doctors can really pinpoint the reason either.
My suggestion to you is what I was told by my doctor. Do not do alot of walking or standing. Stay in bed as much as you can with a pillow or cushion under your butt to elevate your hips.
I hope all works out well for you. Stay positive. Good Luck!

I wish you the best of luck, but I agree a drop in hcg is never a good sign. I started spotting at 6 weeks went for u/s and all was well, saw heart beat, continued spotting for 3 weeks but HCG failed to increase and dropped slowly. Further scan confirmed that heartbeat stopped at 6 weeks 3 days and was diagnosed with incomplete miscarriage and had to have D&C, so yes HCG levels can take a long time to drop. Good luck xx
