Baby Dust Baby Dust??? How long will it last???
Ok ladies here it is round two ding ding ding lol So we are trying again and I got an OPK Postive using a digital test yesterday morning and I had done the deed for lack of a better word on Sunday night so now I tested this morning and no smiley face....????? Oh and no deed last night due to complete exhaustion and we both fell asleep like big babies. Is it over that quick or should we still be acting like rabbits and hoping for the best. I mean it is fun and all but for my sanity sake how do the test work did I ovulate yesterday morning for a whole 12 hours??? Or does it mean I will be ovulating this week at some point and we should stay focused on the task at hand if you know what I mean? Any advice would be great Thanks!

memberNot every positive OPk leads to ovulation. In the past 16 months I received several solid smiley faces (peak fertility) with the CB advanced digital but according to my dr's blood tests I was not even close to ovulation. My BBT chart findings confirmed that. So it is possible to detect a LH surge without it leading to ovulation. If you feel unsure about your positive opk result continue testing possibly with regular test sticks, watching your mucus signs closely and bd accordingly (whether it is fun or not - after TTC for so long I often feel like it is more of a task that needs to get accomplished). If you are not charting your temperatures I recommend doing this in the future - with charting you can confirm if and when ovulation occurred. If your result was a true positive you can expect to ovulate within 24-36 hours of having seen the +. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.
