How do you guys calculate days past ovulation?

Basically I had a positive peak opk (solid smiley) on 10 nov afternoon ( I am not sure when the egg was actually released). So nov 11 would be my 1dpi making today 14dpo but if I use the ctp tools to calculate dpo using average luteal phase, it says I am 12dpo today. My qn is do I go along with my calculation even though I can't pinpoint when the egg was released or should I use average luteal phase? My periods are regular and cycle is 30 days. My bfp are quite faint so I am wondering if I am I nfact 12dpo instead of 14? Thoughts?

Once you get your positive ovulation test you ovulate 12-36 hours later. Typically I will count the DAY AFTER the first positive OT as "ovulation day" then TWO DAYS after + OT would be 1DPO, etc. If you got a + on the 10th then you would be 13DPO today. Nothing's set in stone but that's something to go by. Are you temping as well or just using OT's? That would give you additional data to compare your OT's to as well.

Nah just using opks. Its my first cycle ttc so i was gonna see how it goes. What you're daying makes sense. Maybe i am not as far off as i thought i was hence the faint bfp's. Thank you :)
