I would say stay hopeful but prepare yourself for the what if. Many women warn against symptom spotting and we all know the reasons why, so take them out of the equation. You say you are 13 dpo and 2 days late, is your luteal phase normally only 11 days or is it possible you ovulated later than you thought. If you ovulated late then in turn both AF or BFP would also be later than expected.

Idk. I had a pos opk on Friday the 7 and an iui on the following Saturday. So maybe I'm more than a little hopeful this time. But I'm pretty sure my dates are right. I wish I could stop over analyzing every little twinge but it's hard.

Unless you have a luteal phase defect, if you're 13 dpo you can't also be 2 days late. Your cycle length is determined by your ovulation day (so if you normally ovulate on cd 15 and have a 28 day cycle, for example, then if one cycle you ovulate on cd 18 you should expect that cycle to be 31 days). So you probably aren't actually late yet. That being said, you're not out 'til you're out - no reason to give up on this cycle until af shows, if she does. Good luck, hope you get your bfp soon!

My cycles are usually 26-28 days but I did ovulate on day 18 so I gues maybe this cycle is longer. Why though wouldn't my Dr. Tell me this crap!! Thanks I didn't think of that. So maybe it's not too late. Fingers crossed then. Thanks yarnlady!

Have you been charting your BBT? That should help you figure out when you actually ovulated. If not, I would highly recommend to start then you'll be able to track your actual ovulation date and get an accurate DPO. This is my first cycle tracking and it's cool seeing my actual ovulation be confirmed by the increase in BBT. You may also be able to tell if you're about to get AF using BBT since a lot of women see a drop in BBT right before AF arrives or their post O temps are maintained if a pregnancy occurs. I agree with what YarnLady said though.

No but I'll start chatting next cycle. I've checked my last few months and I'm pretty sure my literal phase is 11-12 days. It's been 14 days. So I still think my period is late. I just tested (wasted) another wondfo. And it's still negative. I really wish I had something else to think about
