Question

Could a fall at 5 weeks pregnant be dangerous?

I am 5 weeks pregnant today and I fell outside on our steps. There are 2 steps off the porch and I slipped off of them and hit the bottom one with my bottom and landed on the ground (concrete) I do feel a little cramping and a sharp one every now and then... do you think it is serious? Am I okay?

I'm sure all is fine, your embryo and uterus are very safely protected, tucked down all snug down behind your public bone. But I'd call the doctor for peace of mind!

Agree that it's very unlikely to cause problems with the pregnancy, our bodies are designed to cushion babies from any sort of outside trauma and a stair slip is not as severe as, say, a car accident. If it makes you feel better you can definitely call your doctor, but I'm sure the baby is A-ok :)
