Question

Progesterone supplements lead to healthy pregnancy?

On 12 dpo, my beta hcg was 44 and progesterone was 7.2. My Dr started me on progesterone pills, 100mg twice a day. My beta hcg was rechecked at 15dpo and had increased to 166. A week after starting my progesterone pills, my labwork showed an increase to 11.6. My Dr went ahead and increased my progesterone pills to three times a day. I'm worried about ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. Anyone have any happy stories of taking progesterone or any advice?

I never got my levels checked, but I had been using Progesterone Cream to lengthen my LP. The first cycle we used it, I ended up with a BFP. I figured since I was deficient enough that using the cream lengthened my LP, I should stay on it to sustain my pregnancy as well. My doctor told me to stay on it since the sudden drop would be bad. It's safe to stop later in the pregnancy when your doctor advises, but I just lessened my dose as I am still worried, probably unnecessarily, about losing my pregnancy.
From what I have seen online, the average should be between 10 and 30, so your level looks wonderful, and the fact that it has been rising is great. The doctor will monitor your levels and will adjust if there seems to be a problem, so try not to worry so much!

I am still on Progesterone cream, and after three losses, we've finally got our rainbow baby! I'm now 16w1d!
Good luck, and tr not to worry!

Are you doing the progesterone vaginally or orally? If vaginally, blood tests won't reflect the true levels. Your hcg seems to be increasing appropriately.

Good luck and congrats!
