What to do when you can't temp at the right time?!
I normally temp between 5:50 am and 6:00 am. However, this morning, I woke up at 3:20. I knew I couldn't get the suggested 3 hours of sleep in before I had to wake up, so I went ahead and took my temp. It was 97.21 which is a pretty big drop from 97.8 yesterday. I'm 12 DPO so I'm trying to figure out if this is a drop right before my period or it my temp is just wildly off from the strange timing. Should I just log 97.21, discard it, or use some sort of temp corrector? Thanks!

Ur temp goes up roughly .2F for every hour early u wake up, so urs couldve been somewhere around 97.71F. Whenever that happens to me, I just make a mental note of what it might have been and discard the whole day. Dont use estimators, they arent accurate and theres no way to know if u wouldve gone up that much, more or not at all.
Good luck! =))

I used BBT adjuster (from: my monthly cycles . com) when this happens to me and I've always got reasonable adjustments. However; I always right a note on my chart of the time I actually woke up and the actual temp I got. If I see that the discrepancy is too big, I discard the whole day.
So I tried it with your temps and it came me the same thing dakotagurrl said: 97.71.
