Question

Is there such a thing as a digital false positive?

Hi - I got a digital BFP yesterday morning with FMU then 2 negatives (1 digital 1 regular) this morning with FMU. I'm assuming it's negative. My period is due tomorrow. Thoughts?

I haven't personally seen any false positives on a digital. In very early pregnancy your hcg levels can be pretty low and if anything little changes, such as concentration of urine, time of test or using a different test with a different sensitivity you can get very different results. Otherwise it might have been a chemical pregnancy, where an embryo begins the implantation process but stops developing very shortly after. Keep testing and I hope that you get a nice clear positive!

Same brand digital? maybe y'days was more sensitive? I'd give it a day or two then try again. Fingers crossed for you.

This happend to me also. I have been trying to conceive for three months now. I have been experiencing in my opinion some pregnancy symptoms so I took some tests. The 1st one I took yesterday showed 'pregnant' it was a digital one so it was literally spelled out for me, because of the excitement I proceeded to take a further 3 test, 2 on the same day but not digital ones, these came out negative. This morning I tested with FMU again with a digital clear blue this time & says again not pregnant. one week ago I had what seemed to me like implantation bleeding, very light pink mucus when I wiped, that lasted on & off 5 days. My question is if I should believe the negative tests over the positive test? I should be approx 5 weeks so should all tests come out positive? I have experienced fatigue & increased appetite, twinges in nipples now & again, dizziness & slight nausea that's why I took the test but alas I have more questions!

Exactly! Do I believe the positive since false negatives are far more common than false positives, or do I believe the negatives simply because of numbers? Sigh...well, sebysmamy, I guess only time will tell. I hope you get a BFP!!!!!! Good luck.

Stellar, any updates? Thank you for the well wishes. Wish you all the best too. I am still to get my AF, I'm too scared it's going to be negative so haven't tested since Tuesday either so just kinda waiting to see if AF arrives. Apart from extreme fatigue & slight nausea at certain things I don't really feel pregnant. I get the odd twinges in my nipples and occasional heartburn which I don't normally suffer with so just being hopeful. Think I will test next week if nothing happens by then. Good luck to you MrsMaltese, hope it's the BFP! Xx

Hi, so tested again, according to my dates I'm on 40th day of cycle, 2 days late as AF was due 9th. Took cheap test today & still BFN ð??¥ my nippies are getting more sensitive, they even look slightly darker. I have had for last 2 weeks or so really wet & sometime ewcm too (sorry tmi)Still so tired and hungry on & off as well. Heavy, pulling feeling in uterus too, super vivid dreams, cold like symptoms. It's 16dpo according to CTP calculator.
Any updates from other ladies?
I'm not giving up till I have AF or BFP as I feel pregnant for sure!! Good luck to all with you BFP journey.
