Question

10 miu pregnancy tests...are they truly reliable at 10 dpo?

I tested this month at 10 dpo with a Predict Sure htp and got a BFN. The stats on this site (which I love combing through of course) suggest that over 50% of the time, you will get a positive at dpo from a test this sensitive. Just wondering: Has this been your experience, ladies?

Thanks!

It depends on when implantation occurs. The average implantation date is 9-10dpo. So for most people, 10dpo would be too early to test.

I am skeptical of the stats on this (or any) site, because they are due to self-reports. Many women would not bother recording a BFN, so the stats will be skewed to show more BFP results on any given day. I think if all pregnant women took an early HPT at 10 DPO, it'd be more like 20% positive. Taking a test early is best if you have a temperament that is not devastated by negative results if testing really early. GL!
