Faint positive hpt yesterday, negative opk and today negative hpt but very strong positive opk

Weird cycle last month with 2 lh surges, last surge most likely ovukation with spotting 6-8days later (which would more likely be implantation bleeding given consistentcy and timing of spotting). Now 6days after the end of bleeding I had very faint positive hpts (along with preggo symptoms)once with fmu and one evening. Now today 7days after end of bleeding I have had negative hpts but EXTREMELY strong positive opk....opk was negative 2days ago. I don't quite understand what is going on given what I know about opks, hpts, lh surges and time frames etc. can anyone shed light onto my experience? Am I still possibly pregnant or is something else going on?

I would go with the answers the latest HPTs are giving you. OPKs' positive results can only point to a pregnancy once you receive a truly positive HPT. The OPK is probably just picking up a LH surge right now. I would test again in a few days with a HPT, preferably once you miss your period to avoid unnecessary BFNs. Thank you for answering....you are probably right albeit very disheartening as I had a missed miscarriage (fetal age 10weeka) back in February. At the time I was trying NOT to get pregnant. Now that I am, I have had two chemical pregnancies and am so unbelievably sad everytime it happens. Its ironically funny to think back to the days in my younger years, when I would dread that those 2 lines might appear...and to think now about what an incredible miracle it is even to make it to getting pregnant. Maybe I need to go back to trying NOT to conceive as that seems to be the only time I have (I also have a beautiful 8year old daughter who was a pleasant surprise), maybe that's the key to success.
