I have started taking Metformin- advice needed if poss

I am new to these forums, sorry I dont really know all of the abbreviations but here goes..

I was diagnosed with PCOS 6 years ago and had a laproscopy for Endometriosis 2 years ago. We have started 1000mg of Metformin just a week ago and my consultant says to take 50mg of Clomid on days 2-6 of my next period. (My cycles are so irratic I wouldnt be able to hazard a guess as to when I am due on!)

Basically, i just wondered if anyone could give some advice because i have only been taking Met for 7 days and i feel rotten! Been so sick and bad guts all week! I am meant to up them to 3 a day next week and am terrified!

Also, sorry to ramble on, but i have lots of spotting over the last two days, I dont think its a real period so dont want to start the clomid in case it is the wrong time! Has anyone else had spotting on the Metformin?

I suppose its the million pound question but how long were you ladies taking Metformin before you managed to get pregnant?

I also have PCOS but I was able to concieve my first after 2 years, now I have been trying for my second for about 6 years on and off. I just met with my gyno and have to go on the 14th for the day 21 bloodwork and ultrasound. Have you had that done? I really do not know what the next step will be, I know he will be looking to see if I ovulated and for cyst. I was diagnosed by the same doctor 10 years ago before having my first and at that time my periods were all over. They are now pretty normal from 28 to 30 days, so I was hoping the PCOS went away but he says that it could just be mild now and maybe I am not ovulating even though I show it on the OPK and feel a pain in my side around that time, guess it could be a cyst. Any advice you can give me would help out. Sorry I couldn't answer your question, but my doctor hasnt discussed medicines with me yet. I believe that will be the next step after the 21 day test.... i hope it gets better . i have been on 500mg for a year and now bumped up to 2000 a day. hold shit i feel sick. so yes i hope it gets better but not for me.
