Ewcm is a good way to know your fertile period, but not the exact day of ovulation. I have ewcm for days before O. It is stretchy, and it reminds me more of nose mucus (when you are not sick naturally) than eggwhite. It stretches a lot. I get it more in the morning. Another way to detect your fertile period would be to check your cervix. I know it sounds gross at first, but it helped me quite a lot. When I am about to O, I can barely reach it. It opens up and is soft to the touch. Some would recommend to chart your temperature as well, which would confirm that you od.

Trying to determine when you will O can actually be very tricky... When I get EWCM, its usually days before I O, then it turns watery. Some months, I don't get the EWCM so its not always feasible to pin point ovulation with cm. Many women get EWCM days before they O (ex: 5 days before) and since sperms have an average life of 3 days, they wouldn't be alive by the time you may O. Also, the cervix could potentially be a way to find out however; the cervix can change position 1000 a day and until you are used to the positioning, texture and opening of your cervix during your cycle, it wont help you much. BBT is good to confirm that O has already occurred and you need to do it for a few months to get the bigger picture. How many days in a row have you been having positive OPKs??? Do you have PCOS??

Thanks guys. No I do not have PCOS I just have too much LH I have testep positive every day since day 8 and it's now day 14 I'm glad u said we don't always have ewcm I have not yet seen any! Thankfully I was able to get scanned yesterday and we triggered. It has been 36 hours since and I still haven't seen any signs of ewcm but my cervix is very open and soft so let's gope!! Thanks for your input it really helped! I feel alot better now.
