Pregnant or Not? Help!
I have taken 5 home pregnancy tests all have come out positive, the line is faint but getting slightly darker each day. I am two days late on my period and had brown spotting 6 days ago. I went to the doctor, took 2 tests and they said they were both negative. They then took a blood test and it came back with a level of 28 hcg. They are telling me it isn't enough to support a pregnancy...but why are my tests coming back positive? I should be about 4 weeks today.

The number itself doesn't matter as much as the doubling time. Are they going to do a repeat blood test two days after the first one? That will give more information than the first number. It could be that you ovulated a bit late and that's why your number is lower than they want to see. GL! :)

I agree with luvtowalkfast! The doubling time is what really matters! They SHOULD be testing your betas again to make sure that your hCG is doubling properly.
Like kaitlinrae said, if your HPTs are getting darker, that means that they're detecting more hCG each time. I wouldn't lose hope just yet.
If your doctor won't test you again, I would try to get in ASAP with another doctor for betas!
