Not that 2 mos is a long time, anything up to a yr is normal, but how are you tracking ovulation? If you were 8 days late and not pregnant, that means you ovulated about 8 days later than you think you did, so your timing was off. If you're using an app or a calendar, don't. Either have sex every other day all month long or use bbt or opk to confirm when you're fertile.

I was using ovulation sticks and I ovulated on day 19 and 20 of my cycle which I only had sex (sorry tmi) before I ovulated, so I am wondering if that is why? But sperm can live up to 48 hours?? Sex every other day seems like a lot but its worth a shot:) I also tracked my cervical mucus and mine was the egg white substance on the day I ovulated....

The problem is that opk only show that you're trying to ovulate, not that you actually released an egg. If you're not pregnant, your period will arrive between 12-16 days after you ovulate, so odds are the opk picked up you attempting to o, but for whatever reason, you didn't. Opk didn't even pick up my surge the month I conceived baby #2, so take their info with a grain of salt. When we tried for our second, I had 27 day cycles. We DTD every other day from CD 8-18. No pos opk but I definitely ovulated bc I have a 7 mos old. :) if it gets to be a lot for you, use a sperm friendly lube like Preseed. It will help & won't kill the swimmers! Gl!

I had to laugh at two months being considered "difficulty" at all. Girrrrrrrl. No. Sorry. No offense.

I have been trying for number 2 for 6 years. Just left my Gyno office. He said that because I have poly cystic ovary syndrome I could be having cycts and no eggs every month. I have to go back on day 21 of next cycle for blood work and ultra sound. He also advised that I not use the OPK and to just have sex every other day from day 10 until day 20 of cycle. Really thought this was my month but I am 13dpo and negative FRER. I have so many symtoms but the gyno also said the months I have these symptoms could be signs of the months I ovulated. Thank you. I am feeling very defeated today and losing all hope. I already have an 8 year old and the age gape is becoming an issue for me. I wanted them 2 to 4 years apart. I hope you have better luck than me..... Best wishes....
