Vitamin and minerals?
So something my Dr recommended was putting ourselves on vitamins so we selected these for him: complete balance including main doses of A C selenium folate dha zinc, etc etc, and a secondary of just 150mg co enzyme. I am on s complete prenatal supplemented with dha.
Has anyone had any luck with adding the vitamins and minerals to theirpartners diets? Are we missing a key point?
Dr. Isn't very helpful, registered fertility Dr and honestly is horrible. These were suggested along with a combination of provera and clomid and a sperm enhancement for my partner. Just don't want to pay the $22,500 for IVF yet!

Regarding coenzyme Q10 or better yet ubiquinol you should consider a higher dose for both of you. My specialist who is affiliated with a university program recommends 200 mg ubiquinol 3 times a day. My husband is using "Androvite for men" as his vitamin and we were able to improve his sperm situation considerably. You might want to add flax oil and fishoil to both of your diets as well as lots of greens in various forms including wheatgrass and sea vegetables like spirulina, etc. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

Thank you! Could we do a double take of the coenzyme to 300mg a day? Out pharmacies and stores don't sell the 200, they sell 50, and 150 for about $18 per 30 tabs. I was thinking the flax oil and fish oil tonight when we got the others, I'll have to make a trip back! Thank you!

I would start buying vitamins online to save some money. Ubiquinol is better absorbed by the body than CoQ10 (ubiquinone), so u would need approximately double the dose of CoQ than u would for Ubiquinol. I took 200mg of Ubiquinol twice a day and my hub took 100mg twice a day...it gets expensive, so even taking some is better than nothing. There are tonnes of vitamins u can both take that will benefit fertility. L-arginine is a great one for men but do ur research on it first becuz it is contraindicated for blood pressure and cardiac issues. L-carnitine is another goodie. Omega-3's, vitamin E, D3, macaroot...the list is endless, it just depends what he needs it for.

Yes, you can take 300 mg twice a day. This is what my acupuncturist told me when we talked about coenzyme/ubiquinol. By the way, I forgot to mention earlier to take a good B vitamin complex as well. Anyhow, I highly recommend another source of treatment/support in addition to a regular mainstream dr. I am extremely happy having added acupuncture to my regimen. That way a different aspect and helpful solutions to my fertility problems come to light. Since I also receive nutritional counseling and herbal formulas mixed for my specific case I feel very well served. All the best to both of you.
