Sailing trip at 16 weeks?
We're planning a trip to Australia (we live in South Africa) and part of the trip includes a 7 day sailing expedition. It will be just my husband and I - no crew, so it will include some physical effort from my side.
Apart from the dreaded nausea, I'm concerned about the physical strain on the baby.
Any input or recommendations? We're not sure if we should cancel our trip.

I used to sail often and remember the strain when whenching.. as well as the possible quick turns that might imbalance you. If it's just you and your husband then my worry would be that you have to rely on him for all of heavy labour.. and what happens if he gets ill or something happens that makes it difficult for him? Ask your doctor, but from a seasoned sailor, I know sailing isn't as relaxing as some people think and if you could find a motor boat instead it might be safer for your pregnancy.
