Itchy and sore nipples while on period?

Ok so I was suppose to start sunday morning but it came late sunday night. I have for two weeks and now have had itchy nipples and when I try and relieve the itch they are so sensitive that I cant touch them. I have never had this with a period before. Also too they will hurt randomly without touching. I know breast and nipple pain is common before a period but during? Just curious if others.had this during their periods. Each pregnancy ive had I bleed...for a week like a normal period but I also missed one too before that so I dont think im pregnant but never know
