protein in urine.

I know about protein in urine and preeclampsia, I just want to know how many of you have had whats known as a "trace" of protein in your urine. Im 16 weeks pregnant... isnt that a little early to already be finding a "trace"? It has me worried. I read that having high blood pressure can greater your chances for it, but mine has always been normal.
