Question

I'm confused- NEED SOME HELP LADIES!

I am currently 10 DPO ( I had a short LH phase) Yes I take vitamins to help increase my LH phase so I do not need advice on which vitamins to take.

But my period was supposed to come yesterday and did not. Took a test BFN- not surprised it ALWAYS says no :(

Today, took a test this morning (one day late) with FMU- BFN AGAIN.

I still have not started but I'm getting some reddish, pinkish, brownish discharge when I wipe- not a lot just some.

Could this be implantation bleeding, is that even possible?? Like I said AF was supposed to start yesterday- I'm just confused. I also feel really "wet", which is strange.

Could I be pregnant and it just not show up on the HPT because I am only 10 DPO (I have been taking early response tests- which say that they are accurate up to 6 days before your missed period) and it needs more time to build up in my system? Just curious.. any advice/help would be much appreciated!

I would be more apt to assume af is starting, but pregnancy is certainly still possible.

It's a great sign that af hasn't shown yet! I'm assuming you're confident of when you o'd, so the two possibilities are that the supplements you're taking are working and your lp is getting longer, or your bfp is on it's way. The vast majority of implantations take place between 8-10 dpo, and then it takes another couple of days for hcg to build up enough to get a positive test. At 10 dpo most pregnant women won't get a positive yet, so you're very much still in it. I'm a testaholic so I'd definitely break down and test again tomorrow morning, but if you have more self control than me you'd be better served to wait two days and test again. (Oh and the early response tests are nowhere near 99% accurate this early - they assume a 14 days luteal phase, and then are only 99.9% accurate on 15 dpo). Good luck, fingers crossed for you!

Thank you all so much. I want to stay hopeful, but I fear for the worst. My husband and I have been trying for 10 months, without one ounce of success. It is a very frustrating process, but we have never been closer and he is the BEST! He really is the person who keeps me motivated month after month of disappointment. He may be more excited than I am when we finally do conceive.

Just didn't know if I could get or be pregnant with me having such a short LH phase and AF is already late by one day...

The answer is yes, you can be pregnant with a short LP. It is just more difficult as you are likely to begin your period before you body realizes you are pregnant. I would wait a few more days then test. And implantation bleeding can appear after implantation has happened, it depends on how long it takes for the blood to travel down and out.

It's probably AF. Do you temp? How are you sure that you ovulated when you said you did. Pregnancy tests don't lie. If it's negative, you are not pregnant at this time.

Well, it's not exactly true that you're not pg if a test says negative, especially at just 10 dpo. A bfp doesn't make you pg, it just tells you if you are. Until af shows, there's always a chance.
