Question

Advice please - clomid symptoms, possibly pregnant or just plain ill?

So it been a while since I was last on here, I was prescribed clomid in April taken CD2 - CD6 and this cycle is my last round. I've had some pretty nasty side effects but this month in the TWW it's been very different. Since 3-4dpo I've been feeling nauseous, I put this down to the increasing progesterone levels as I think it was a very strong ovulation given my side effects earlier in the cycle. Previous months on clomid I've not really experienced sore breasts but since 7dpo they have become quite tender as well as sensitive nipples, 9dpo the all day nausea kicked in and I am salivating like I've never done before, my breast are also becoming firmer and and enlarged. Today I'm 11dpo and it's all still there and started belching quite a lot and defo not nice with the nausea. I did a test this morning (not FMU) and it was negative so no surprise there. Any advice appreciated

Did you test for pregnancy?

I took 2 tests both negative and at arrived cd29 so I'm out. My reflexologist thinks I probably did have a fertilised egg but just didn't stick for one of the many reasons out there. I'm seeing the specialist next week for next steps as clinic didn't work for us. I just wish there were more people on here prepared to share advice I only logged back in because I needed some support and it seems nothing has changed with the people on here. I'm very disappointed:(

Suzii, you will surely get pregnant one day. Don't worry. God will definitely bless you with precious gift.

How many clomid cycles did you take? Was your dosage increased too as your cycles increased? Did your doctor monitor you after taking clomid? I read in forums that, usually they call the patient after few days (may be day 21 or 22) to confirm ovulation etc.....I don't have much knowledge on it. But, doctor's advises are the best.

So are you looking at other fertility options? Be happy and don't worry at all. The more easy you feel the less stress. Some day, you will write about your pregnancy here.

Thank you! It was 6 cycles on clomid all at 50mg as the CD21 blood test showed the appropriate progesterone so there was no need to increase. We are back at the ACU (assisted conception unit) on the 21st Oct to find out next steps. I have a feeling they might suggest IUI but might want my body to rest a little after the clomid cycles.
I hope you are doing ok on the ttc journey. One way or another we will all get our precious gifts x
