Question

What can I take to improve my chances of having a baby naturally?

I've been ttc for 3 year now but I've been diagnosed with endometriosis and also had my right ovary removed. Not actually spoke to my gynaecologist about help with ttcing as I kept thinking it would happen naturally. Ive got an appointment with my doc on Tuesday to discus things but is there anything I could take without a prescription or anything I could as for from the doc?

I have heard good things about "pycnogenol" ( a powerful antioxidant) helping greatly with endometriosis. I am glad you made an appointment with your dr. Do discuss this supplement with him and listen carefully to all of his recommendations. After 3 years of unsuccessful TTC you need some expertise, possibly a reproductive endocrinologist's opinion. Also, since you are dealing with one ovary only you should get the HSG test done to check if that specific tube is open. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

I'm just wondering why ttc naturally is so important to you. With one functioning ovary, I was told that Clomid would force that ovary to ovulate each month which would increase my chances of conceiving. I don't remember exactly but my doctor told me that my chances of conceiving naturally were so low with only one ovary. Miraculously, we actually conceived naturally and never needed the Clomid. However, I definitely would have started it had I not gotten a BFP. If having a baby is really important to you, I would urge you to consider all your options. Good luck and feel free to ask me anything about our ttc story.

Thank you for you input ladies. I guess I would just feel like a failure. My first daughter is nearly 9 and she was conceived on the pill and my 2nd daughter is nearly 7 and she only took 2 month. I'm only 26 so i wouldn't think it would be so difficult. It gets me so down sometimes :(

I struggled a lot with whether or not to take something to help us get pregnant, but after a year of trying (and turning 30) we decided to try Clomid. I am on my 3rd round and this time we used Pre-seed, which is a lubricant but it's sperm friendly, it actually made Bding more pleasant for me (you know when you are in your fertile week, it can get a little repetitive), so that would be something you can try, you can order it on amazon. We actually did conceive this time, but I'm only 14 DPO so still on pins and needles waiting to see if I have a sticky bean :) GL!

Let me start by saying that anyone who has conceived with the help of medicine would feel like anything but a failure. There is no feeling in the world like seeing a bfp. That is a success no matter how it came about. There are women who need medicine to conceive and there is no shame in that. A diabetic would not feel like a failure for not being able to produce insulin, so an infertile woman should not feel ashamed to get help with her infertility. It honestly hurts me that women have been made to feel inferior when they have had difficulty ttc. No good woman would ever think less of a man who had a low sperm count, but we do so much damage to our own self esteem when the problem lies with us. Good luck to you no matter what you choose. Baby dust!

Take a good prenatal, I'm taking Thorne research basic prenatal now, make sure you eat plenty of green leafy vegetables, don't drink coffee or alcohol. Best of luck :)
