small follicles
I finished my first dose of Clomid this month and when I had an ultrasound done on my 11 day the doctor said that I had small follicles which means it wasn't working and that I will need a higher dose 100 mg instead of 50. I asked them if there was a chance I would still be able to have an o-day just later but they said no because they were too small. I guess they have to be like 1 cm or something like that. Has anyone been told this and still gotten pregnant or had an ovday? I might keep testing to see if they are wrong.

Day 11 is very early to check u/s I went on cd13 then on cd15 and I O on cd 15. They were 2.6cm and 2.5cm. I would keep testing with your OPK's over the next few days. I had 50mg days 3-7 currently nearly 11w. First cycle.
Best of luck. Keep testing you never know cd11 could of just bee too early.

I tested today and the lines looked positive on the clearblue smile face one but it came up with a book error so I will have to get a new kit and see if I did now. I did hear you can have a later ov day when using Clomid. My fingers are crossed and I'm going to keep trying.

I'm doing iui and my follicles are ready to ovulate at 25mm. I would say your Dr is on the right track increasing your clomid dose. The extra Clomid should cause a strong Ovulation. You might get positive OPKs later in your cycle but this does not prove ovulation. A blood test after ovulation for progestrone is a better test.
