Thank you all for your responses. Ugh... I had a feeling that was what it was. :'-( We were just so happy to see that pink line after months of trying.

So sorry :(. My last pregnancy was fraught with dark red to brown bleeding and I ended up miscarrying at 8 weeks. That said, I've heard a lot of stories that ended happier. A friend of mine is 8 weeks and experienced bright red bleeding last week, but u/s showed the baby was fine. I wish you all the very best.

Thanks for the glimmer of hope PaperHeart, I'm going to try to hold on to that. I guess I just wait a few days and take another test??? If it is a CP, will I bleed as long as a normal period?

I think it really just depends. I had a cp once with no bleeding in between it and conceiving my dd. It was only in hindsight that we realized I'd had two different pregnancies. If you are experiencing a cp and there's a bright side, it's that studies suggest an increase in fertility with the following cycle. In my case, I got a bfp one evening, but by morning was testing bfn. I felt pg and was sure nothing else could explain some very specific symptoms. However, a week or so following my bfp/bfn, I noticed fertile cm and thought I had nothing to lose by bd'ing just in case. I'm so very thankful that happened as that one bd resulted in a healthy pregnancy. I don't really know why I had no bleeding with that cp.

Wow, that's really interesting, thanks for sharing. I'll be sure to be on the lookout for fertility signs ð???. It's such a complex matter, I spend hours researching and feel like a detective trying to solve a mystery. Ahhhh... Well, here's to next month. ð???

Not all early pregnancy bleeding means you are miscarrying, I gushed bright red blood at 7 weeks then turned to brown until 11 weeks when I gushed more bright red blood and clots. Had an ultrasound and bubs was kicking around oblivious to everything! Turns out I had a sub chorionic hematoma which is caused from a small tear where the egg implants. I'm now 23 weeks and all is fine :) I've also had chemicals in the past and the lines on my hpts always got lighter instead on darker then I'd start bleeding.
