Just got diagnosed with PCOS :( got put on 500mg of metformin... success stories?

well the title kind of explains it all. I just got diagnosed with PCOS. I kinda knew it was coming but damn it hurts to hear it...

anyways trying to see the positive. ive been put on 500 mg of metformin! I am hearing lots of side effects but also LOTS of success stories over at BabyCenter. but I need help from my CTP ladies because I love you gals haha

I know someone who tried for YEARS to get pregnant but had trouble. She has pcos and got put on metformin and now has one toddler and one on the way! GL & Baby Dust!

My sister has PCOS. In March of 2010 after doing some research, she asked to be put on Metformin. It helped regulate her cycle (although it was still a long cycle) and her weight. She found out she was pregnant by July of that same year!
