Low progesterone, it there any chance
So I think I am 5 weeks pregnant today, my dr going on lmp thinks more like 7 weeks.
Anyway, monday I was sent to the epu because of one sided pain (on scan found nothing to worry about) They were able to locate a small sac and the lady said I was more like 4-5 weeks pregnant, which is what I thought.
They went on to take me blood. when I phoned for my results they said I was miscarrying (or going to) because of my progesterone result. That is all they told me, they said I should go back for an other blood test this monday coming.
I have been looking around on the net, and trying to find information about what I am going through. Is there any hope of me carrying this baby? I have not had any more (only normal pregnancy type cramps) I have no bleeding. My pregnancy symptoms are still noticeable.
Is there anybody who got told them same but things turned out ok? what should I expect?

I would call back and ask for the results, not their opinion. If the number is borderline, the time between now and ur next test could be a make or break kind of thing. Many women have had nurses tell them they would miscarry due to low results and theyve gone on to have healthy pregnancies once supplementation was given. U cant do anything without a number to work off of. Get that number and go from there. Id also be talking to ur doctor asap, dont wait til Monday.

If they think u r gonna miscarry becoz of low progesterone, that does not make much sense to me. Usually hcg not doubling like they should indicate whether u r likely to miscarry. Progesterone supplements has helped lots of women sustain their pregnancies. I agree with dakotagurrl ask them for the results and ask them why they would not consider putting you on progesterone..
