I am 38 and my husband 40. We have no problems getting preg all naturally. 5 pregnancy in 12months but have had 4 m/c's due to unbalanced chromosomes. I'm preg again nearly 9weeks and everything is perfect so far.

Sorry I have to say you may upset a lot of ladies on this site saying you aborted triplets because of your job and that you wouldn't be able to handle it.

Good luck with your choices. You could maybe get your AMH tested which is your overian reserve. To check that you still have good egg supply left.

Just keep trying, probably a natural pregnancy is your best chance of having a single baby. 38 is not to old, you might find it takes a year or two

I'm 38, had no problem conceiving last year. Fell pregnant in February and miscarried in April fell pregnant straight away after with no period in between, my pefectly healthy baby boy arrived in January, again I agree aborting triplets for the reasons you gave may upset people. Perhaps if your job is so demanding may be this isn't the right time to consider pregnancy. Good luck.

I naturally conceived and had my first child at 38 with no complications except that he came 4 weeks early and was breech so I had to have an emergency csection. Still it was such a routine procedure and my son is very healthy. As for your abortion, its really no ones business the reasons for why you decided to abort. Its your legal given right but TMI may set people off who feel you should live your life according to their beliefs.

i would do anything to have those triplets, but none the less, I am 40 and never struggled to conceive naturaly. All the best for trying. What did you use to enable you to have triplets, which fertility stimulation did you use?

I conceived naturally at ages 39, 42, and 45. At your age you are still able to conceive naturally unless you have some underlying fertility issue. It is sad that you decided against the three babies you were blessed with. You had your reasons and legally you had the right to abort them, but was it the right thing to do ? I am not here to judge you.....this matter is strictly between you and God. Best wishes.

I will add that, at 38 years of age, your odds of naturally conceiving multiples are greater than if you were younger. So, you may want to consider that if you really are set on having only one.

I believe you already know the answer to your question! You have a fertility dr don't you? Have you not asked this already? Assuming you were on fertility treatment then I am assuming you do know. I agree with your Dr as you will probably have another multiple pregnancy if Dr gives you fertility treatment again and the Dr probably will assume if it's more than one fertilised egg then your abort again.
This kind of question irritates and agitates!!
You may get your wish of having another single pregnancy but believe me when I say karma is a bitch. I can attest to it!
